Hi everybody, I'm new here. My name is Brandon. Since I was young people said that I was "wise beyond my years" or "old" in the soul area, and I've always know that there was "something" more to life and to maybe myself. This seems like a great group of people to relate to! I hope to enjoy my visit and maybe contribute too.
The first thing that I'm wondering, for curiosity sake, is about some possible correlation between old soulness and some things like personality typing and life experiences.
What is your MBTI type?
Enneagram type?
Also, I wonder about the wise person and their relationship with losses. I've felt in my lifetime that I've experienced more than a good amount of important losses starting when I was very young. I wonder if this has to do with gained wisdom and a feeling of "oldness" or maybe the things that happen to person have to do with "oldness" in the soul.
I'd love to hear opinions!
I'm INFP and 9w1, by the way.

Re: Correlation and old-soulness
Thu, April 3, 2008 - 6:48 AMHi, Brandon,
Welcome to you! Well-come you are.
If you look at the thread called "Introvertness" (just below), you will find a lot of opinions and discussion of your question about MBTI types.
The Enneagram is another story. Personally, I am a "7," but I don't think it really relates to my past lives. To me, it is more my temperament in THIS life. Same with Astrology. I don't think that an old soul is one sign or another.
I feel that the point of being an Old Soul is the beauty and breadth of variation...and diversity....and how we love it ALL! (Or else why would we try to EXPERIENCE it all?) :-) LOL.
Just my humble opinion.

Re: Correlation and old-soulness
Mon, April 14, 2008 - 7:11 PMHi, Brandon :o)
I'm an INFJ and a type 9
I'm not sure that the amount of losses one suffers has anything to do with being an old soul. I was also told by a lady who taught psychic courses at college that I was an old soul. As a child, I knew I did not belong on earth, thus I felt isolated and lonely. I kept longing for "home", yet didn't know where home was. I felt I was more ethereal, and my body was just a vehicle. This was a strange realization for a child. There is also a "warrior" type of spirit within me. Yet I'm a peaceful and laid back sort of person.
Since each person's journey is so individualistic, I tend to believe it is not related to personality typing / life experiences. Just my opinion, of course. :o)
